How does going to bed one hour earlier equal waking up in the middle of the night?

(This often happens, and why I generally force myself to stay awake until Official Bedtime, because despite being soooooooo tirreeeeeeeeeeed... I guess my body treats this as a nap. Buh.)

I had coupons, so I bought gardening stuff. SO MUCH gardening stuff. And still managed to forget potting soil. I will have the most beautiful garden ever! Or at least in my neighborhood; great lawns, but no flower gardens. Strange.

Kind of willfully not thinking about all the prepwork I need to do before the contractor... stuff. (Bathroom remodel! EEEEEEEEEeee.) Also I do not have a living room floor, as my cousin offered to rip up the parquet one day -- which was awesome, although in hindsight, I probably should've waited until after these other projects were done. I feel fibro-good right now because of the warm weather, but uh, only so good.

Time to pretend to sleep again!

Potting soil is all I have. Old, dry potting soil. I want to do yard work, though! The Toddling Offspring is my excuse for not doing it right now. And desiring interior improvements, and not wanting to take money out of savings to pay for any of it. Uh, yeah. I don't suppose we'll ever see pictures of your garden endeavors?

Ahahahahahahahahahaha! Pictures! Ahahahah!

Maybe someday...

Actually, Cory and I keep both snapping shots of the butterflies on the phlox. If I'll ever actually upload them and deal with Flickr remains to be seen. *waves vaguely* I'm sure once the bathroom thingy is done... and the house is organized... I did the taxes, after all...

I must admit, gardening isn't exactly cheap, either -- it took some doing for me to convince myself to get the necessary supplies after all this Not Buying. (I had a coupon that needed to be used; that helped motivate me.) But I hope it'll be worth it! The garden, at the least, bonds me to the house... while theoretically I could always pay someone to re-do the improvements done to our pitiful home, the gardening is -- dare I say it -- the one place where emotional bonding is sort of healthy. Accomplishment and sweat and whatnot.

Coupons are nice influences. I have a coupon for the shiny new Aldi grand opening today, which means I will go the opposite direction from usual and on a different day to accomplish my chores. But! Aldi coupon! You're jealous! *snerk*

...aaannnnd that Aldi trip saw purchase of two blueberry bushes and a rose (Else Poulsen), the pitiful twigs of which are all planted outside my bedroom window.

I've been having trouble sleeping too. I blame the heat. Our AC doesn't get turned on till May! D:

Yay flowers! I believe there's a cherry blossom tree outside my apartment. :D
I keep meaning to snap a pic of it, along with a ton of other things!
