Cottage dreams

They're starting work on my deck tomorrow! The days of tea and roses will be upon us!
... well, most likely next summer, but hey. My tea roses are looking like they want to quit, but the David Austin roses I planted are just starting to bloom vigorously. I'm definitely putting in a lot more next year... I must figure out where I want hedges...
I must also figure out what sort of outdoor table I want. Probably just a round one... I could get some pieces and legs and build one myself! (Ooo, black, with grey and white doilies on? The deck will be white. A great white pier.)
Please enjoy looking at my Black Tea shopping list. I will own all of those for my tea service -- see, I've come to grips with the idea that I shall never have a formal dining room. I never shall. I shall never have need of a soup tureen, or Christmas-themed holiday plates, as I will never ever host a Celebratory Winter Holiday party. My house is too small, my friends are too scattered geographically, and I'm too cranky by half in the winter. But June? I do June! I shall have my deck, and I shall have my outdoor dining table and space, and I shall have a lovely service for cute, causal, gothic little tea parties outdoors.

You can peruse my expanded Noir list, but that's just a general collection of black dishware I've found; the Black Tea list is what I think I shall need to own, eventually. Ooo, and guests can wash up with this soap once my bathroom remodel is done.
