I'm not really a fangirl at ALL, I just like to rock out sometimes. *headbangs* In all honesty, I only ever bought "Call The Doctor," so I am basing my entire rocking out on one album. (And I'm okay with that.) I was riot grrl and Very Angry when I was young, though, so... that's where it comes in. I mean, it's the same for Ani Difranco and Tori Amos. (And nowadays, Amanda Palmer.)
It's like Neil Gaiman -- I both Get and Don't Get why people fan things. I mean, does Gaiman deserve? Does he not? I think perhaps Tori and Amanda Palmer could be considered definitively music--
OKAY, IT JUST STRUCK ME: TORI AMOS = AMANDA PALMER but ANI DIFRANCO = EMILIE AUTUMN
Ahem. If you understand that. (It has nothing to do with musical styles...)
But I really don't get fanning PEOPLE (versus the art), ever, ever, ever, I think. And I get sick of things. Heck, I was afraid you and Tiki would start shunning me for being over-exposed to Colbert and Concords.
I was watching Inkubus Sukkubus videos on Youtube last night and wondering if you had seen them, and could share in the... uh... magic. I'd forgotten how very special they were.
Your entire last week's worth of posts had made me wish to comment, but unable to formulate thoughts through the AWESOME.
