Crap I Want! 2010!

Okay, I lied. I'm supposed to be less materialistic and more frugal and all, but...
Cosmetics Stuff:
Remember when I did that rundown of black lippies? Check out the coverage on SoBe Botanicals GothStix! BUH!
I... want... many of those. One thing that really baffles me with a lot of mineral makeup companies is why they don't do more wacky colors. (Aromaleigh has a whole "omg so freaky and bright" eyeshadow line, and yet all her lip stuff is blah reddish. It's no harder to throw black minerals into the pot than red, so... I guess she's worried about not getting enough orders, since she makes hers ahead of time, but still. Kind of blah.)
Since this company is made-to-order, you can even choose any one of the 300 (!!!) flavors. I'm a dork, so I'd want to coordinate the colors and flavors... I want:
Batty (black) - Trick or Treat (candy)
Gothique (blackened purple) - Clove
Tragic (golden green) - Witches' Brew
Greyscale (grey) - Earl Grey
and maybe
Blackened Rose - Gingerbread (or Mexican Chocolate? Coffee?!)
Also, I got some samples from Detrivore Cosmetics along with some gothy jewelery I bought recently. (Which may or may not involve taxidermy. Ummmm...) Anyway, they sent me almost-blacks (yay!) and they are pretty nice. I might pick up a few jars... like "Liver Mortis" and "Beetle".
Toy Stuff:
Baba Yaga's chicken leg hut -- I. Need. That. (Luckily, it's a consistent design, not an OOAK creation, so I can wait and be prudent. But I need it, oh, next month.) There's an itty bitty one that I also like... trying to tell myself I don't need both.
Miniature Laduree macarons. Another death by cuteness! Really freaking amazing designs in her shop. Kinda pricey and ships out of Europe, though... making miniatures is one of the few crafts I actually enjoy, so I may pick up some molds from Yippie Kawaii Yeah and make my own. (I've been wanting some of those bat molds, anyway!)
Looking at witchy stuff reminds me that someday I need a Windstone fledgling dragon in emerald-peacock. I have the BIG one (I got for free in college! Woo!) but I've always wanted the cute little baby one. Looks like the old colors might be retired, so I should probably get one soonish.
Witchy Stuff:
Wand holster. Mwahahahahah! I wonder if I could make one of these out of something... they don't have any black ones listed.
Captured Fairy Bottle. Okay, so that's actually a Zelda fairy. I've seen similar things at local con vendors, but those are the only ones I can find online at the moment. I really want a fairy bottle for my witch costumes!
Eventually I want to pick up the Tweeny Witches: Complete Book of Spells (DVD Fullset). That is seriously my favorite anime since Utena... and the big set seems to often be sold fairly cheaply used, so.
And, of course, I still need to pick up my teaset. (Closing in on it! I have the teacups to go with it!)
Geeky Stuff For You:
Okay, so I just mentioned I reeeeeally am not a fan of actually playing tabletop games, but I understand the culture, darlings. And look: Dice Dragons! You feed the dice to the dragon and the tongue is the closure and then it barfs up your dice! Squeeeeeeeeee so cute!

Date: 2010-01-03 06:32 am (UTC)I've seen Melissa Sue around for a while now -- I actually think she was on some communities I frequent back when she first launched her shop, but oh my gosh... her designs just keep getting cuter and cuter. (Did you see her Cat Cows and the little monsters and things?) I pretty much want everything she does, but I NEED that hut. Did you guys get the big one? I think I'm gonna have to -- the little chimney-tail is too much. :3

Date: 2010-01-05 03:24 pm (UTC)The door/window thing usually relates to the dead: carry them out of the window so they can't come back through the door, etc.
For me, the chicken legs are the operative bits. Bwak!

Date: 2010-01-03 11:47 pm (UTC)And so many flavors, I can't choose!
I've been wanting to make my own miniatures too. What kind of clay do you use?
I thought Paperclay sounded like the easiest to work with. I'm planning to paint these, and turn them into pendants.
Oh, and about those kitties, can you steal one for me? XD
I wanted a cat when I was a kid, but my dad was allergic.
P.S. Happy New Year, babe! <3

Date: 2010-01-05 03:27 pm (UTC)You see my flavor angst up there! XD
I was just going to use Sculpey -- I know everyone loves paperclay for sweets jewelery, but it's sooo fragile, it makes me a bit nervous.
They keep coming back and I've been feeding them! We'll see if I have a little herd of kitties here soon. :D
Love youuuuuu!

Date: 2010-01-06 02:07 am (UTC)I shouldn't spend more money on makeup now anyway, since I already bought this Stila smokey eye set.
I got it for half-off though! :D So, I don't feel so bad.
I'm leaning towards the cakey and candy flavors!
Ooh ok. You have to bake that though, right? I'm too lazy. XD So, I'll probably stick with paperclay.
Aww, I hope so! I'd rather have a herd of batties though. Maybe I'll make a bat house and put it on our balcony! XD
Love you toooo! And happy birthday!! I'll send your gifts before V-Day, promise! XD
