Okay, I must confess: I love modern design. The baroque-modern fusion makes my heart flutter because it's monochrome, but actual baroque is too much for me. I like clean lines, polished surfaces, and limited color palettes. Not even mid-century; I love modern modern.


So I pretty much abhor deco.

I find myself drawn to quirky cell phone (and iPod) cases, but cell phone deco is a little too much for me.

Yeah, I saw a lot of Paul Frank skins at the airport, and I thought those were pretty styling. I just... deco looks so... unclean. There's no way to wipe off accumulated grubbiness. Ew.
