Pintucks?

The ruffler rocks my world -- and I also bought the 3-pintuck foot for my machine, so that's my next technique to tackle.

I need frills, people. I need them. BLACK FRILLS.

I pintuck before...not that I've made many pintucks in my sewing life. That will probably change, now that I've discovered that one of the gifted sewing doohickeys I have is a tuck marker (this one--how's yours look?)

Silly me, I hadn't looked at the JSK before I answered--those I'd do after sewing the side seams. Things like that don't look pretty when they get trapped in seams. Vertical pintucks, though, especially of the 8-billion-tiny-tucks variety--those'd be done before seams.

I recently bought 7+ yards (@50¢/yard) of floaty lightweight cotton in light pink with a small print of black outline candy canes with bows and a smattering of stars. My brain boggles at the candygothloli potential. Have you any suggestions?
